'Mothers & Daughters' is the first novel under the pen name of Minna Howard. The novel follows recently widowed Alice, and her two daughters as lives change and the reluctant 'glamorous granny' enters a new exciting chapter in her life.

Mina Howard, aka Mary de Laszlo, moved over the bridge from Fulham to Putney in 2008 and is happy with her move:
"I enjoy the markets, the recent food one with many delicious ethnic foods and British cheese and vegetables and the Art market by the Thames. There’s a good selection of shops and a great library all close by. The transport too is great and so many buses going to almost anywhere you want in London".

A true romantic at heart, Minna joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association (RNA), had a romantic novel published and met her agent Judith Murdoch. She then went on to have ten more novels published as Mary de Laszlo. She ran the Romantic Novel of the Year award three times.

"I am fortunate to be living near the river and the Common so feel close to greenery and the water. The Thames changes throughout the day and there is so much wild life. I saw two crows trying to devour a live eel last week, which had somehow missed the tide, poor thing. Most evenings a flock of geese fly over my house perhaps on their way to the Wetlands. I am not too keen on the squirrels though who manage to break into all my ‘squirrel proof ‘ bird feeders and dig up my bulbs".
