Following fatal accident in Fulham on Friday afternoon

Putney Bridge remained closed for over six hours following a fatal accident in Fulham at the New Kings Road junction with Fulham High Street at 15:31hrs on Friday, 16 December.

Police attended and found a lorry in collision with a pedestrian. The male pedestrian was treated by London Ambulance Services but died at the scene.Police are in the process of informing next-of-kin.

The driver of the lorry involved in the collision stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
The closure led to major delays and traffic jams over Hammersmith & Wandsworth bridges.
