Christian Aid Week With A Difference | |||
Churches Together in Putney and Roehampton collect despite Covid-19
This year there will be none of the usual Christian Aid week events (10-16 May), such as the car wash, cake sale, envelope collection, or sponsored walk. Christian Aid was set up in 1945 by all the churches in the UK and Ireland to help the many displaced people all over Europe, it has gone on to help needy people all over the world whose lives have been ruined by war or natural disaster. It does not work with governments, only with local organisations, of any faith, to help people restart their lives.
