Attacker described as having diamond stud earrings
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses and information in relation to a incident which occurred on Putney Lower Common last night (Thursday 19th June). A woman in her forties was jogging across the heath at about 9pm when a youth grabbed her and attempted to pull down her track suit bottoms. She resisted and her attacker ceased the assault and walked off in the direction of Horne Way. The victim was not physically hurt during the incident. The suspect is described as white, aged around 16, with mousy brown hair cropped at the side, longer and spiked on top. He was wearing blue, knee-length jogging trousers, a blue vest, a grey jumper tied around his neck and white Converse shoes. He also wore diamond stud earrings.
