A man has been arrested after he handed himself in to police investigating an assault on a woman in the Lost and Co bar on Putney High Street.

The 34-year-old saw himself pictured in CCTV footage taken around the time of the incident which was released to the media. He has been bailed to return to a south London police station in mid-November.

The other man identified in the footage was not part of the fight and is a witness in the investigation.

Police are now seeking a third person described as a white man in his twenties, with short dark hair and a dark chin beard, wearing a light coloured t-shirt.

He is wanted in connection with an assault in which a woman was seriously injured in the bar on Putney High Street in the early hours of Friday morning (16 September).

Witnesses from within the bar described two men fighting as the 44-year-old victim entered the premises. She was hit in the back of the head and fell to the ground as the two men continued to brawl.

The woman received a haematoma to the side of her head and a fractured shoulder. She was taken to a south London hospital and later discharged. She is still recovering from her injuries.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
