The couple from Southfields who stand accused of murdering their nanny and then disposing of her body in the garden of their house in Wimbledon Park Road, have appeared in court.

40-year-old Ouissem Medouni and 34-year-old Sabrina Kouider of Pulborough Road appeared at the Old Bailey and pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice by disposing of Sophie Lionnet's body, but deny murdering her.

21-year-old Sophie Lionnet, who was originally from Troyes in France, had been working as a nanny for the couple's two children.

Her burnt body was discovered last September after neighbours reported noticing foul smelling smoke coming from the property which is on the corner of Wimbledon Park Road and Pulborough Road.

Sabrina Kouider worked in Battersea as a stylist and make-up artist, and both her and her partner Ouissem Medouni speak French.

Both Mr Medouni and Ms Kouider will stand trail for murder in March.
