Man Arrested After Police Search For Cannabis Factory | ||||
Suspect climbed onto roof of garage on Putney Bridge Road
Armed police were seen in Putney Bridge Road this Wednesday afternoon (17 October) as a raid was carried out on a suspected cannabis factory. When the police arrived shortly after 2pm a 39 year old man climbed onto the roof of a nearby garage and initially refused to come down. When he finally relented he was promptly arrested for cultivating the plants. He has been taken to a police station in South London and the police continue to investigate the crime scene. As well as the armed officers, British Transport Police, the London Ambulance Service and the National Police Air Service were all at the scene. Buses were redirected for some time this afternoon by Buses have resumed travelling along Putney Bridge Road.
