15-month-old died in hospital after cardiac arrest

A man and a woman have been bailed having been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a child in Putney earlier this year.

The pair, both aged 29, were detained after emergency services were called to a residential address at 6:06am on Tuesday, 27 August. The paramedics informed police they were responding to reports of a child in cardiac arrest and members of the Specialist Crime Command team attended the house.

The child, who was aged 15 months, was taken to a west London hospital and pronounced dead at 7.22am.

The couple appeared in court last month and have both been re-bailed to a date in November.
