Police assume extra powers after at least two men injured
At least two men have suffered stab wounds in what is believed to be an outbreak of gang violence in the Putney area. The police have assumed extra powers to stop and search to contain any additional problems. A man was stabbed this Thursday morning (12 September) at the Royal Mail Delivery Office on Burston Road, Putney. Police say they were called to the depot at 10.42am. Witnesses told them hat a male had been stabbed and then left the scene in a white saloon car. A crime scene has been put in place. At 10.48am, police were called to Eastleigh Walk in Roehampton by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to reports of a fight. When police arrived attended they found a man believed to be in his twenties, with stab injuries. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. Police await an update on his condition.
