He also pleaded guilty to possessing extreme images of bestiality

A Wandsworth police constable convicted of making indecent images of children has been dismissed.

PC Taylor was arrested by Essex Police on Sunday 15 October, on suspicion of making, uploading and distributing indecent images of children.

In November PC Taylor was interviewed about these allegations under criminal caution and accepted full responsibility for images found on computers seized from his address.

On 22 December he was charged with six counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of children and three counts of possessing extreme images portraying an act of intercourse/oral sex with a live/dead animal.

PC Taylor appeared at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday, 15 February where he pleaded guilty to the offences and was placed on the sex offenders’ register. He will be sentenced at the same court on Thursday 15 March.

A special case hearing was held this week (Monday 26 February) for PC Stephen Taylor, based at Wandsworth, to answer allegations that his conduct amounted to a breach of standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct. He did not attend.

Having taken all the evidence into consideration, Assistant Commissioner Helen Ball dismissed PC Taylor without notice.
