Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal said one-year suspension until January sufficient punishment
Former rowing captain Alistair Main lost his job with Schroders two days after he was convicted in January 2017 and escaped a jail sentence for his actions. At the time of his conviction District Judge Barbara Barnes told Main that he would not work in the sector again, but the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal has decided that he need not lose his practicing certificate but a one year suspension was his punishment, which will end in January 2019. |
