Last Friday more than £400 was given at East Putney station and around the same amount was raised at Putney station on Wednesday, led by Carl Speck.

Under Carl's direction the community choir has grown to around 40 members. It is still rather short of men and would would like to attract more male voices. The choir meets on Wednesdays at St Margarets Church Hall at 7.30pm.

Regenerate-rise supports isolated elderly people in Putney. RISE (Reaching the ISolated Elderly) was a project initiated by REGENERATE.com in 2001 following a participatory needs assessment of the Roehampton area by the Wandsworth PCT. REGENERATE.com was started in January 2000 by Mo Smith and her son Andy Smith when they identified the need for a Lunch Club in the heart of the Alton Estate - the second most deprived area in the borough of Wandsworth.
