Following the primary school's Oliver Jeffers fortnight and exhibition, lots of the work produced was transferred to Putney Library, where it’s displayed in the children’s section. Why not go and have a look, and pick up a few books to read or help you with your homework, at the same time?

Last week, the whole school considered the topic of Remembrance. Year 2 Kingfishers made some beautiful stained glass poppies and Year 6 looked at War Poetry, including Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen. A selection of this work was taken to Putney Rail Station by a group of very enthusiastic Year 6 children, where it was displayed over Remembrance Weekend. The response to their work was immediate – people stopped and read the poems and looked at the poppies. When asked for feedback, one commuter replied, “Nothing! It’s perfect!”.

A spokesperson from Hotham Primary School said, "We are always very proud of the work that they children produce at Hotham and we know that you love seeing it when you come to visit, but recently we have shared some of our best work with the local community too. Hotham now has a resident art teacher for this academic year. She works with children from reception through to year 6, teaching them specialist art techniques. The children are very excited to share their new skills with the local community."
