Roads were closed and diversions in place whilst negotiations took place
Over 30 emergency service vehicles and armed police reportedly attended the scene in Roehampton this Wednesday (3 April) after a man was spotted on the roof of a residential building at around 12.05pm. Roads in the area were closed off around the junction of Holybourne Avenue and Danebury Avenue as police spent over two hours trying to talk the man down. When he was eventually persuaded not to carry out his threat to jump he was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. He was taken to a west London police station where he remains in custody. |
