Collided with street furniture after being taken ill at the wheel

A van driver has been taken to a South London hospital this Tuesday (29 May) after a collision on Putney Hill.

The police have confirmed this Wednesday that he continues to undergo treatment after previously describing his condition as critical.

They who were called to the incident at 8.18am believe that the driver of the van was was taken ill at the wheel and subsequently lost control of the vehicle.

Traffic on Putney Hill was affected when the road was closed in both directions.

No other person was involved or injured.
