In April inspectors completed a two day visit to Oasis Academy Putney, and in the report addressed to Executive Principal Di Morgan, they praised the Academy for its commitment and determination to ensure that all pupils are successful learners. Highlights in the report include;
 “Parents are highly supportive of the school. They value the support and care that their children receive.”
 “The stimulating curriculum provides pupils with a wide range of engaging learning activities.”
 “Leaders provide rich opportunities for developing pupils’ experiences in a wide range of subjects.”
 “The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding.”
 “The proportion of pupils who reached the required standard in the phonics screening check, in 2018, was well above the national average.”

Inspectors credited Executive Principal Di Morgan and the Academy leadership team for being highly-committed and actively engaging with parents to ensure that pupils get the very best care.

Di Morgan, Executive Principal of Oasis Academy Putney, commented on the report saying; “I am extremely proud of this report and would like to thank the pupils, parents, and staff who over the years have supported us on our committed journey to provide exceptional education at the heart of the community.”

Within the report, one parent told inspectors ‘my child absolutely loves this school.’ Parents are highly complimentary of the teaching and subsequent progress that their children make, especially in reading and writing.

Ofsted were exceptionally impressed by the early years provision in the Academy, saying ‘leadership in the early years is resolute that all children will achieve highly’ and ‘a vibrant and well-planned learning environment, both indoors and outdoors, provides varied learning activities for the children, which stimulates their imagination.’

Louise Lee, Regional Director for London at Oasis Community Learning, praised the team at the Academy saying; “This amazing report is a credit to Executive Principal Di Morgan and her fantastic team of staff and reflects the hard work and dedication that they all show on a daily basis. I am confident that Oasis Academy Putney will continue to go from strength to strength.”
Inspectors also credited leaders’ unswerving commitment to inclusion to ensure that pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make strong progress from their different starting points.
