Putney girls and class mates reach National Finals

Opus a team of local girls from The Tiffin Girl's School reached the National Finals as representatives of the London Region, whilst gaining corporate interest from RTL Games and Early Learning Centre for their educational toy.

On Thursday 22nd June Opus won Best Company and Best Report at the London Final of Young Enterprise held at the Marriot Regent’s Park Hotel, securing their place in the National Finals. The company have also forged links with major toy outlet Early Learning Centre with the possibility of a future lucrative deal. Rachel Lowe Dragon’s Den finalstis and inventor of the best selling game Destination London has also expressed a strong interest in this new innovative product. On the 23rd June Opus featured on the BBC’s Working Lunch and on the 16th – 18th July the company will be competing in the National Finals along with 11 other companies across the UK in pursuit of the award for Best UK Young Enterprise Company. The Final is to be held at The Savoy Hotel and the winner will proceed to the European finals in Switzerland. The Mag-iT© sells for £20 and can be bought through their website or directly at local Young Enterprise events. Opus are currently meeting with headteachers from local schools to promote the product to their pupils. Initial sales have been extremely promising and the boards have been sold to local primary schools and centres for children with learning disabilities . They are in the process of developing links with the National Autistic Society and plan to donate 10% of their profits to them.
