Revamped facilities at The Pleasance cater to all ages
The revamped play area and ‘trim trail’ at The Pleasance in West Putney has officially reopened. Residents and young families in the area can now use upgraded children’s play equipment and a new ‘keep fit’ trim trail in their local neighbourhood green space. The new equipment has been installed in the park by the Dover House estate and was chosen following consultation with local residents. It is designed for children up to the age of eight, while the trim trail’s fitness apparatus is suitable for use by all ages. The new look play area was formally opened by the Mayor of Wandsworth Cllr Jeremy Ambache earlier in September. Wandsworth’s cabinet member for environment Cllr Judi Gasser said, “This is a great facility for local people of all ages; I hope everyone will come and enjoy it." Funding for the £175,000 scheme came from the Wandsworth Local Fund (WLF), which comprises money levied on developers to help pay for community and local neighbourhood infrastructure improvements.
