Nicola Grant of Positively Putney updates us on the high street's 'new normal'

Yesterday saw many of our businesses open for the first time in three months. It was a lovely sunny day and lots of you came out to support the local businesses and buy those things you've been waiting for during lockdown. Thank you for supporting the Putney businesses.
Shops Open
We have updated the list of businesses open. We are still waiting for some of the national chains to reopen and understand some won't be until July as they are opening on a phased approach. By supporting local stores you will be actively helping your community to thrive.
Stay Safe and Be Kind
We have been working hard with the businesses to ensure Putney is safe to welcome back customers. The stores are managing queues and their premises well. It did look quite tight on the High Street yesterday but people were being considerate of others. We have been cleaning all the street furniture to reduce the potential spread of the virus. #ShareourPutney
We are celebrating all the reasons why we love living, working and visiting Putney. Please join with us and share your photos - your favourite shop, favourite takeaway, favourite running path, favourite building. Lets get everyone feeling positive about Putney.
All we ask is you add #shareourputney to your post. It can be on FB, Twitter, Instagram or Linked In. We look forward to discovering your favourite haunts. For more information click here.
What do Positively Putney do?
Ever wondered what Positively Putney actually do other than fill up your email box? Last week we held our AGM and launched our Annual report. It was a strange end to the year but we are proud what we achieved. Read more here.
