A woman threaten to jump off Putney Bridge was talked down by police officers this Monday night (17 August).

At around 11.30pm they were called to the location following reports of a 'suicidal' woman. Officers from Wandsworth were joined by a boat from the Met's marine police unit and the Chiswick RNLI lifeboat rescue team.

The police managed to talk her down and she was taken to a south London hospital suffering minor injuries.

In January police stopped a man from jumping off Putney Bridge.
