Police called to derelict building on Putney High Street in early hours of Sunday
Extended stop and search powers have been given to police in Putney following an unlicensed music event taking place in a derelict building on the High Street. Police were called at approximately 1.15am on Sunday, 23 February, to reports of a rave. On arrival they found a large group of people. They made contact with the organisers and the event was shut down. This and a section 60AA CJPO authority covered the Putney wards of Thamesfield, East Putney, West Putney and Palace Riverside from 2:30am to 5:30pm on Sunday 23 February.
