No more Saturday bin collections | ||
as Putney refuse day switches to Tuesday
Putney's refuse collection day will switch from Saturday to Tuesday under changes set to take effect from July 11. The new timetables will affect all parts of the borough as part of a move by the council's contractor to five-day working. Saturday collections were first introduced in Putney in 1994. The new rounds have been drawn up to tie in with new street cleaning days which the council is bringing in next March. The council will launch a boroughwide information campaign at the beginning of June to alert people to the changes.
