Footage has recently emerged of an incident in Putney from last year which resulted in a man being fined and made subject to a curfew after subjecting a cyclist to a torrent of verbal abuse. Scott Leaver pleaded guilty at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court to common assault and public order offences and was sentenced to a three-month 8am-8pm curfew and fined £85. The video above shows in incident which took place near East Putney tube station in August 2016 and was posted on YouTube by the victim 'MikeR'. Whilst attempting to overtake a stationary bus on the Upper Richmond Road, he became aware of a vehicle also overtaking and swerved left behind the bus to avoid being trapped between the two. |
