The Roehampton Club UK scoops Sports Club of the Year 2018 and Club Refurbishment of the Year 2018 awards

Roehampton Club in south west London was last week proud to retain the award of UK Sports Club of the Year at the 2018 Club Mirror Awards. At the awards ceremony, now in its fiftieth year, the Club also won Club Refurbishment of the Year 2018 for the recent Health Club redevelopment.

The Health Club forms a key part of Roehampton Club’s offering and a large investment was made to refurbish and extend the facility in 2017. Phase One upgraded the Outdoor Pool and Phase Two re-designed the gym and studios into a beautiful space that reflects the premium positioning of the Club and responded to the growing market trend for innovation and technology.

The refurbishment of the gym and studios was completed late in 2017 and extended the size of the gym floor which was then fitted out with top-of-the-range new Technogym equipment. Members enjoy a wide range of health and fitness facilities including the 25-metre indoor pool, 20-metre heated outdoor pool, steam room, sauna, spa pool and the impressive gym and fitness studios.

Roehampton Club is London's premier multi-sports, members' club, offering an impressive range of sporting facilities including; a beautifully presented, award-winning 18-hole golf course, 30 tennis courts with ten fabulous grass courts, six heated, glass-backed squash courts, four international standard croquet lawns, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gym, fitness studio, physiotherapy and beauty clinic, crèche, dedicated bridge and snooker rooms and a sports hall for table tennis, birthday parties and even art classes! Annual competitions, Kids Camps and coaching offers everything at the Club to enjoy and improve your sport.

Located at the edge of Richmond Park, five minutes’ walk from Barnes train station and ten minutes’ walk from Barnes, the Club is the perfect setting for a wide range of events. Host a summer party or wedding in our idyllic gardens, impress colleagues in our smart meeting rooms or use our banqueting facilities for a celebration. A variety of packages and extensive sporting facilities – cycling experiences, golf tuition and tennis clinics – are available to entertain clients or unite a team.

Following in tradition the Club has a thriving social scene including family events – Family Day and Fireworks Spectacular – seasonal events for Junior Members, Members’ Curry and Quiz nights, a range of talks in our Evening’s with … series, walks and wine tasting events. The sociable Club Café, Members Bar and Juice Bar are managed by Levy Restaurants and offer a range of delicious meals and healthy snacks created with our passionate Executive Chef, William Britton and his experienced team.
