A group of squatters have been evicted this week from premises on Putney High Street.

They had entered the former site of Wahoo Bar several weeks ago and the property owners applied for an order seeking possession last week at Wandsworth County Court. Wahoo closed om 2012.

The building was built in 1887 and is a Grade II listed buiding.

Thamesfield Councillor Jim Maddan tweeted: '@thamesfieldcllrs Bailiffs evict illegal squatters from Wahoo, Putney High Street. With the beggars gone PHS can get back to normality'.

We have asked the owners for comment.
