'Armed' Trespasser On Line At Putney Station | ||||
Station was closed whilst power lines cut and police apprehended individual
Putney Station was closed on Saturday (29 June) due to a trespasser on the line. A police helicopter tracked the trespasser whilst police attend to the situation on the ground. Local residents reported that the police apprehended the trespasser using tasers and it is reported that he was carrying a machete, axe or knife.
We have asked British Transport Police (BTP) for a comment.
The BTP website confirmed that they contained the situation, but they have not responded to our question. I live in Putney. There are 4 police vehicles, an ambulance and a circling helicopter situated on a rail bridge. You might need to wait it out.?? pic.twitter.com/BZdhMwy0U8
