Car of same make snatched by tides in March

For some reason BMW's seem particularly susceptible to being caught by high tides on Putney Embankment.

Yesterday (21 July) a BMW that had been unwisely parked on the slipway was seen floating away pulled by the high tides that are expected to continue until 25 July.

The car was later retrieved by a crane on a barge.

In March spring tides took a BMW from the embankment before dropping it at Barn Elms Boat House.
