Sitting on Putney High Street, one block from the river is London Grace. A nail bar with a difference for as well as the usual range on mani and pedicures there is a wine list, teas coffees cakes and platters to share = girl heaven!!

Kirsten Hazell, who opened London Grace in January, has taken on the University Boat Race weekend with spirit, not only with her eye catching display of the course in the two blues...... but in commissioning varnish in the perfect pantone #whichblueareyou?!

Getting in the spirit of things I booked in my Cambridge supporting friend - she is hosting the Blondie squad so you will get an understanding of her fervor..... and myself to take advantage of the current offer of a 'Slap Dash' Boat Race manicure at London Grace - £15 including an 'Oxford' or 'Cambridge' nail polish gift to take away.

Juneve starts the Cambridge Blue
The finished job - great colours
(sorry about the old ladies hands!!!)

Unlike most nail bars there are tables where friends can sit and have their manicures - often I find myself away from my friend so the chance to catch up fails as we sit between strangers in silence.

Whilst we took on our opposing colours I sipped a glass of rose in the spring sunshine whilst Jo had a rooibos tea - the menu has so much more to offer and if you go with a gaggle of friends you can take over the basement area and let your hair down over a bottle or two .........

If you want to support one or more of the crews in the four races this weekend then get down to London Grace - they are open 9am - 10pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Or simply keep it in mind next time you feel like a treat for your hands or your feet!
