Jeremy Ambache of the Liberal Democrats commented that
"The increase of 3 percent for the Liberal Democrats show are solid progress in Putney. Roehampton and Southfileds. This gives us a good basis to challenge for Wandsworth Council seats in the local elections next year.'  With regard to the new MP, ' I would like to congratulate Justine Greening on her victory and wish her well in her new political career.'

Anthony Gahan, UKIP's candidate in Putney said, "The Conservatives ran a good election campaign and Justine Greening deserves a lot of credit. The UK Independence Party has only really been active in Putney for the last two months but it will continue to grow and make sure that the Conservatives make Putney a priority in Westminster."
