Scherrikar Bell shares her career past, present and her future plans
How was Life in Putney and what got you into acting?
"I was born in Putney hospital and spent my childhood in Putney. I loved it. It is the cleanest and friendliest part of London I find. I attended Hotham Primary school and would often gather a crowd to watch me perform Spice Girl routines with my friends in the playground! Those were good times.

15 years later and I am attending an open audition for, Off West End play "Oh what a lovely War!" I thought I had no chance as I was not a trained actress. I still went along having nothing to loose and ended up booking the role! The rest was history."

Playing the Olympic torch bearer with Billie Mitchell on the Eastenders Live episode was also pretty awesome because It was in front of 20 million viewers and was the first time my friends and family saw me on TV. Plus having a BBC credit is respected in the industry.

Bridget Jones's baby was my most recent movie and had got me the most laughs, which is always a bonus. I played a hospital receptionist who has the pressure of calming down mum to be played by 'Renee Zellweger' and fathers to be played by 'Colin Firth and 'Patrick Dempsey.' Working on a scene with such a stellar cast was an inspiring moment for me it makes me more excited to take on Hollywood."
