Smash-hit musical will run from 6 - 10 September

Cygnet Players are to present the south west London amateur premiere of the all-singing, all-dancing smash hit musical, Legally Blonde.

The show runs from Tuesday, 6 September to Saturday, 10 September 2016 at Putney Arts Theatre, Ravenna Road, Putney, SW15 6AW. Performances are nightly at 7.45pm with a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.

Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde the Musical is an invigorating gift of musical fun, wrapped up with a vibrant pink bow! Elle Woods is the southern California co-ed cutie who is accustomed to getting what she wants. When her boyfriend, Warner, calls it off because she is not serious about her future, Elle turns her attention from fashion to the books and enrols in Harvard Law School. Along the way, Elle proves that kindness and compassion never go out of style!

This high-energy show was written by Heather Hach with a catchy score with music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin. Cygnet Players’ production is directed by Matthew Eberhardt, with Stephen Geraghty as Musical Director and Della Bhujoo as Choreographer.

A huge amount of hard work has gone into staging this show and meeting all of these challenges. We’ve taken Elle’s story from the throwback nineties and brought it bang up to date, and hope to have captured something of her infectious spirit which takes on the world with a whole lot of heart and more than a dash of pink.”
