For the Doverhouse Singers it is an opportunity to celebrate a Festive Fiesta of Song
For different people Christmas means different things but for the Doverhouse Singers it is an opportunity to celebrate a Festive Fiesta of Song at their Christmas Concert to be held at St Mary’s Church in Putney at 7.30 pm on Saturday 14th December.
There will be “lots of snow and ice” with “Let It Go” and “Walking in the Air” and, along with special treats such as “For the Beauty of the Earth” and “The Seal Lullaby”, the evening will include singing “sweet silent night” and various carols with the audience.
The event will be free but a raffle and bar will give plenty of opportunity to donate to Regenerate Rise who work with the isolated elderly. More about their activities (and further opportunities to donate) can be found here www.regenerate-rise.co.uk/donate.php.
To date the Doverhouse Singers have raised over £10,000 for Regenerate Rise and in the run up to “The Most Wonderful time of the Year” you can look out for them carol singing around various tube and rail stations to raise even more.
Details of their movements can be found here https://doverhousesingers.co.uk/rehearsal-dates. Alternatively, being a social sort of choir, you can follow them on facebook https://en-gb.facebook.com/doverhousesingers or twitter https://twitter.com/dhsingers.
