Speaking at Putney Library about his work capturing stunning images of animals

On Wednesday 16 October, the wildlife photographer Nick Dale, who lives in Putney, will be speaking at Putney Library about his work capturing stunning images of animals both at home and abroad.
He has recently returned from four months of teaching photography and taking pictures in Africa and he will show pictures and tell stories about some of the most exciting and moving moments of his trip.
This event is organised by the Friends of Putney Library.
Refreshments are available from 6pm and the talk will be from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. This event is free but donations are accepted.
This event marks Nick's second appearance at Putney Library to show pictures and talk about his work. Some may remember the first occasion, which was well attended, in November 2017.
Nick wanted to be a photographer from the age of 15, but was encouraged by his mother to ‘keep it as a hobby’. So he went off to read English at Oxford, worked as a strategy consultant till he was 29, then travelled the world for seven years, doing four ski seasons and working on an internet start-up in San Francisco among other things, before finally returning to London in 2005. Feeling that a return to the world of consulting work would fill his life with unwanted stress, he opted for 'quality of life', and became a private tutor and wildlife photographer.
The Friends of Putney Library are a voluntary group promoting the use of the library. Formed in 2013, they have been organising events for library users and raising funds for the library for six years.
