Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK with four different age sections: Rainbows 5-7 years, Brownies 7-10 years, Guides 10-14 years and Senior Section 14-25 years. We give them a space where they can be themselves, have fun, build brilliant friendships, gain valuable life skills and make a positive difference to their lives and their communities. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good.

Due to the popularity of our programme and a shortage of volunteers, we are heavily oversubscribed in the Putney area. We also have little provision in Roehampton. If you are interested in helping run activities at any of our age groups, please come to our informal information evening to find out what is involved. The evening is on
Wednesday 12th  November, 6.30-8pm at the Putney Methodist Church hall, Gwendolen Avenue, Putney, SW15 6SN.

Our volunteering roles are flexible and are for young women from the age of 14 as well as adults. In addition to contributing to the Putney community and making new friends, you can gain experience of working with children and even work towards an optional Leadership qualification - a great enhancement for any C.V.
