On Monday 26th October Putney-based Bar and Restaurant, MOOMBA, hosted a Help For Heroes event and was delighted to have raised £515 for the charity.

MOOMBA, based on Lacy Road in Putney, was thrilled with the support local residents and businesses showed by attending the fundraiser which also had Putney-based Record-Breaking international Yachtswoman, Tracy Edwards taking part in the event. (pictured left)

Restaurant owner, Ritu Dutt pictured right said: "It was a fantastic evening and I would like to thank all the people who came along to support such a worthy cause and I would also like to thank all those who donated the raffle items and, of course, a big thank you to Tracy. We look forward to organising other fundraisers in the future.”

MOOMBA, which will be celebrating its fourth anniversary in January, raised funds by charging an entrance fee and also through raffle tickets. The raffle prizes (vouchers) were donated by locals businesses – The Escape Beauty Salon, gift shop Farrago, hairdressers Headmasters and Waitrose who provided a hamper and wine.

"It was a great evening for a great cause." said Ritu.
