An Evening Of Baroque Music |

Season of Putney Knitting Concerts ends with Bach and Teleman
The 2016 season of Knitting Concerts ends on 12 June at 7pm with an evening of fabulous baroque music including the fifth of Bach's Brandenburg concertos. Over the years they have staged three of these concertos, but never the fifth, so this is a great opportunity to hear it live. If you have been a regular member of the audience, or even an occasionally regular member of the audience, it is unlikely that you will not have heard or seen some permutation of the Melvin family before: one or more of them has played in almost every series since the concerts began. This evening however will gather together Rieke and all three children plus partners and friends so should be a very close-knit occasion. Rieke Melvin (recorder) Programme to include: As ever the concert is free with complimentary wine and soft drinks and you are invited to bring something (not too noisy!) to do whilst you listen if you want to. A polite request here, based on audience feedback in recent concerts: if you are intending to use a phone or a tablet during the concert could you choose a seat in one of the side aisles, as the light from the screen can be distracting to members of the audience sitting beside or behind you. Many thanks. |
