Robert Bridge Plays a Programme of Romantic Piano Music | |||||
The first event in 2018's Knitting Concerts
The first concert of 2018 sees Robert Bridge on piano at All Saints’ Church, Putney Common on Sunday 11 March at 3pm performing works by Brahms. He will be playing a programme of Romantic piano music: two works written by composers at the end of their lives, although Brahms was a rather rotund 60 when he composed his late sets of piano pieces whereas Schubert wrote his final set of Sonatas in his last year aged just 31. Brahms - 3 Intermezzi, Op.117 As ever the concert is free with complimentary teas and soft drinks and you are invited to bring something (not too noisy!) to do whilst you listen if you want to. If you are concerned that you might disturb your neighbours - for example, by clicking knitting needles or sucking teeth whilst pondering a particularly awkward crossword clue - then please explore the side aisles. Many thanks. There is a dedicated Facebook page at the Putney Knitting Concerts where you can follow the latest news and also post your comments.
