An update on recent
and upcoming developments along the High Street
The High Street is
the one part of
Putney we all share,
and sometimes
despair. On Monday
25 June The Putney Society Building and Transport Panels have a
great triple bill to
update you on recent
and upcoming
developments here.
The council have now
voted funds for
improvements to the
pavements and
more. At the November 2017 Members' Meeting, Nick O'Donnell, Assistant Director, Environment and Community Services LB Richmond and Wandsworth, gave a presentation of the recommended options for improvements to Putney High Street. He has agreed to return and provide an update regarding approval of the plans and the situation with regard to funding.
In addition, Nicola Grant, manager of Positively Putney, the Business Improvement District (BID), will provide an update on the workings of the organisation and the commercial outlook for our shops and High Street.
Richard Carter, Putney Society Executive member, will then give an update on the findings of the latest Society air quality monitoring exercise.
Open to non members but a donation from non-members to cover costs is appreciated.
