Announcement of General Election made it impossible to proceed

A meeting organised by the Putney Society on local health care services has been cancelled following the announcement of a General Election. The event was due to take place at Putney Community Church on 24 April.

'Election purdah' rules restrict the activities of public officials during a campaign including their ability to attend public speaking engagements.

Rebecca Wellburn, Director of Commissioning and Planning, Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group, had been due to speak about the 'Transformation of the NHS' plans together with Dr Rumant Grewal, Clinical Lead.

The Society hope to hold the event later in the year.
