Brain of fascist dictator takes over mind of local election candidate
Putney Theatre Company are making a call for actors to audition for a forthcoming production of Oh Hitler a play by Simon Herd. When a 12-year-old girl accidentally brings back Hitler’s brain after travelling back in time through a wormhole to twenties Bavaria. Things start to get complicated when Hitler’s mind takes up residence in Hector Pugsley, an anti-immigration candidate in the local council elections for South Dingleberry. He sets about trying to turn South Dingleberry into the greatest Aryan state the world has ever seen. The auditions take place on Sunday 30 September at 6pm for a performance on Saturday 6 October. Rehearsals are on Wednesday 3/Thursday 4 and Friday 5 October at 7.30pm. There are eight parts although three of the players can double up including the role of Hector/Hitler.
