Recycling is a crucial part of reducing waste and conserving our resources and the need for minimising our use of materials from the outset is even more vital. There are also new initiatives which could show us a more creative way forward.

This public meeting will include the following speakers:
Deputy General Manager at Western Riverside Waste

Authority, Sharon Ross, who will clarify where recyclable materials go and how they are reused.

Cllr Jonathan Cook will present how WBC is monitoring progress and waste minimisation ambitions and initiatives.

‘The Circular Economy’, an exciting new step, will be introduced by Gemma George from London Sustainability Exchange.

These short presentations will be followed by the opportunity to question the speakers and discuss how to most effectively galvanise local actions.
