The WASPS of London Scooter Club have for the past 10 years organised the Ride Of Remembrance and it has become one of the biggest organised vintage scooter ride outs in London, some years totalling 950+ scooters, this year we expect to top 1000 vintage scooters!!. This makes it an amazing spectacle for tourists and locals alike.

This year the scooters meet at the Star & Garter Pub, on the Lower Richmond Road from 10am on Sunday 11th November. They will be selling the usual poppy merchandise, as well as special edition patches, badges, and scooter leg shield banners. ALL proceeds from the merchandising will go to the Royal Briitish Legion.

There will be a 2 minute silence at 11am with a live rendition of the last post, and at midday they will begin the ride out, laying wreaths at the Royal Artillery Memorial at Hyde Park Corner with a recital of Flanders Fields.

Afterwards everyone is welcome back at the Star & Garter for the entertainment, auction and raffle of amazing prizes including a variety of Scooter and Mod related items supplied by their generous sponsors, again ALL proceeds going to the ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

Andy Hilson told PutneySW15: "In reality, its not about us, its about remembering those that have fought and fallen to give us the freedoms that we enjoy today. So we will mark this day with the spectacle of hundreds of vintage scooters riding together as an alternative parade of remembrance to the fallen. To date we have raised over £50,000".

"Our aim is to raise as much money as possible for the Royal British Legion poppy appeal if you know of anybody who may like to contribute in either a cash donation or goods for our auction please let me know. 100% of the profit go's to the Royal British Legion Poppy appeal".
