Residents are invited to celebrate the opening at a fair
Jo Brand with new CEO of the National RSPCA Chris Sherwood
Jo Brand visited Putney Animal Hospital last week to open the Feline Rehoming Centre. The centre has four cat pods which will be able to house up to 4 adult cats (generally one or two at a time though) or a family of mum & kittens.

The new centre is on the site of Putney Animal Hospital but will be run separately by the RSPCA Wimbledon, Wandsworth & Sutton District branch who have converted what was the old charity shop in to the rehoming centre.
A spokesperson for the new centre said: "We hope that having our own centre will mean we can offer a more efficient rehoming experience to adopters and a hub for our staff and volunteers to come. It will also mean we can network more cats from the hospital once they're ready for rehoming.
She continued: "
Last year we rehomed approx 166 cats, we took in and helped even more as some went through our TNR programme (trap, neuter & release). Until having our centre we've relied on private boarding and foster homes. We hope that we will see our rehoming numbers increase as well of course."
The feline guests should start arriving next week.
They are inviting residents to join them in their celebrations to mark the event on
