After the success of the jumble sale, the sea cadet unit has decided to have a jewellery sale, to help everyone with their Xmas gifts!! Come along on Saturday 24 November 1.30 to 3 pm at TS Challenger, Ashlone Building, Putney Embankment, SW151LB.

Wandsworth, Fulham and Chelsea Sea Cadets is a maritime charity which offers an exciting learning environment for 10 to 18 year olds. Youngsters are inspired to gain self-confidence, develop life skills and independence through sports and adventurous activities based on a nautical theme and the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy. They are based alongside the River Thames near Putney Bridge at their training ship Challenger.

The Sea Cadets offer training courses where the cadets can gain accredited qualifications for British Rowing,Royal Yachting Association qualifications in kayaking, power boating and windsurfing. These provide recognised educational benefits such as UCAS points when applying to university.

Most importantly they provide these opportunities in a fun, supportive evironment where young people can make friends, challenge themselves and succeed.

Unlike other cadet forces, Sea cadets units are individual registered charities reliant on voluntary donations for the upkeep of the unit and to cover training and equipment. The Jumble sales are but one way for them to raise the vital funds that allow us to operate.
