Lifetimes’ Self Help Wandsworth Programme invites people in the borough to join them and special guests for an afternoon dedicated to learning more about Dementia and Stroke Care, at their Self Help Care and Support Event on Thursday 10th March.

The free event, to be held at the Penfold Community Centre, will include a Training Workshop about understanding Dementia, delivered by dementia care specialists MindCare. There will also be the opportunity to learn about stroke prevention and awareness from Staff and Volunteer Ambassadors from the Stroke Association.

Organisers, Lifetimes Charity are holding this event as part of their Self Help Wandsworth Programme which offers support, guidance and training for new and existing Self Help groups in the borough.

The day, which runs from 1pm – 4pm, will be a chance to learn from Stroke and Dementia Specialists and find out about the individual and group support available in the borough for those living with Dementia and Life after a Stroke. There will also be an opportunity to have a free, quick and simple blood pressure check!
