Putney’s launches Christmas on Friday December 4, with the Christmas Market from 2.00pm to 8pm in Church Square selling a wide range of gifts, street food and drinks. Santa’s Grotto will be open from 2.30pm to 8pm, plus live music and performances.

At 6pm Olympian and local business man Daley Thompson will switch on the Christmas lights. Thamesfield councillor Mike Ryder said:
“It is great to have local celebrity Daley Thompson to switch on the lights, and I’m always delighted to see how many people turn out to the Christmas market and get ready to support Putney and its shops over the festive season. I think we’ve got a great High Street, so I hope residents do spend their pounds in Putney.”

Continuing with the Christmas Spirit, the Putney Christmas Art Market will be on the Embankment near Putney Pier on December 6, featuring more than 40 emerging and established artists and craftspeople offering original, quality work.

The Roehampton lantern parade will be on December 9. Meet at Roehampton Library at 4pm for the parade, carols and refreshments.
