A Board meeting of the Trustees (Conservators) of Wimbledon and Putney Commons was held on the 11 May 2015 to discuss the easement agreement signed with Wandsworth Borough Council in August 2014 to provide access to the old Putney Hospital site.

At the meeting it was agreed to instruct, under legal guidance, an expert firm of surveyors to provide an independent valuation of the open market value of that access, for both the educational and residential elements of the development;

* The firm of solicitors will also review whether the WPCC had complied with the Charities Act 2011 when conducting the sale of easement rights to Wandsworth Borough Council over the designated Common land.
* The Board will formally notify the Charity Commission of its intentions.

The Conservators inform us that a further statement will be issued in due course, however, the Trustees wish to stress that the matter is complex and may take some time to successfully resolve.
