Justin Rose, who has a riverside apartment in Putney has won the golf gold medal today (14 August). Golf joined the Olympic Games as a sport this year for the first time in 112 years.

Once the ball was in the hole Rose punched the air, tapping the Great Britain badge on his chest. Having hugged his caddie he then saluted the crowd.

Rose made Olympic history on Thursday (11th August) when he got the first 'hole in one' in an Olympic match.

Rose, a Ryder Cup hero, adds the Olympic title to his 2013 US Open crown.
