Amy Turner back with Rosslyn Park's Ladies team as a coach
Rosslyn Park’s women’s rugby team, the Slingbacks, are about to enter their twentieth season at the ground on the corner of Upper Richmond Road and Priory Lane and have received a pre-season boost with the recruitment of England scrum half Amy Turner as Coach. Amy began her adult Rugby career as a 16-year-old at Rosslyn Park and is a shining example to the current players of what can be achieved.
The team are inviting local women and girls to go along and give the sport a try. They train every Wednesday at 7:15pm on the Club’s state-of-the-art 4G pitch and anyone interested is welcome to just turn up. Slingbacks skipper, Maria Castellina, said “It’s a sport that has a place for all shapes and sizes, and a great way to keep fit in a really sociable environment. “Of course, experienced players are always very welcome as well”, she added.
