Outstanding results for Brandlehow & Our Lady of Victories
The Department for Children, Schools and Families have published primary school league tables reflecting the results from Key Stage 2 tests taken by year six children in May 2009. These Tables give information on the achievements of pupils in local primary schools, and how they compare with other schools in the Local Authority (LA) area. The "contextual value added" (CVA) scores - show how much a school has improved its pupils' achievements since they took their first set of assessments in 2005 In Putney the tables show outstanding results from both Brandlehow & Our Lady of Victories (OLofV) who both topped the league with 100% of pupils achieving Level 4 and above in both Maths and Science making them the only school in the area to do this. The greatest improvement in the average Level 4 came from The Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School which improved from 48% in 2008 to 87% in 2009. Brandlehow, Hotham & OLofV Schools came top of the league in English and both Brandlehow & OLofV came equal top in Maths and in Science the top performing schools were Brandlehow, OLoV and All Saints' CofE. The tables should be considered alongside other sources of information such as Ofsted reports and school prospectuses. Ofsted school inspection reports can be obtained from Ofsted's website at www.ofsted.gov.uk or direct from the school on request. Key Stage Two for Local Primaries 2009
